The Case For A Summer Brunch Wedding

A morning ceremony is really kind of sublime. Wake up, get dressed, get married, and spend the rest of the day celebrating with your new spouse and guests!
Instead of filling the day with prep, anticipation (apprehension?) and last-minute details, it’s all about love, food, and fun!

Some of our best ideas:

•Include a mimosa bar
Mimosas are such a brunch fave, we think they deserve their own dedicated bar. Go next level and add some locally sourced juices besides orange. Grapefruit, strawberry and guava are some of our south Florida favorites.

•Have interactive food stations instead of traditional buffet-style brunches. This way guests can mix and mingle as they sample. Omelet stations, French toast stations, and crepe stations are all crowd pleasers.

Some tried and true Grateful Palate brunch favorites are:
•California Deviled Eggs (our own creation)
•Scallop Crudo with blood orange and candied pine nuts •House-made crab cakes
•Perfectly seared sea scallops

•Wedding favors like mimosa-making kits, personalized jam jars and bags of coffee beans with your wedding date are fun and fit your brunch theme.

•Often overlooked- As any professional photographer will tell you, natural light is best for your wedding pictures, and a daytime wedding gives you the luxury of plenty of daylight.

Now pop the bubbly and pour the OJ!
