Fun at FLIBS 2022! Why You Should Go-

The Big Show is back! Fort Lauderdale is gearing up to welcome the 63rd Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS). From October 26 - 30, the waterways will play host to the marine world’s best, with billions of dollars worth of superyachts, boats, marine accessories, electronics, and more.

And everyone should go, take a Water Taxi and play tourist. Taxi crews provide running commentary on current events and river sights (the homes on Millionaire’s Row) with some stand-up comedy thrown in. An all-day boat show pass is just $15.
We agree with Roger Moore, CEO of Nautical Ventures and producer of the AquaZone, one of the show’s biggest exhibitors, who says, “Whether visitors are looking for a kayak, a luxury floating platform, or the latest in electric yacht toys, the boat show has something for everyone.” We checked, and some of those yacht toys are personal subs and helicopters!

In fact, we think the AquaZone is the best place to start your day. And you’ll want to start early- purchase your ticket online as there’s no onsite box office.
Start the day at the AquaZone in the Greater Fort Lauderdale/Broward County Convention Center, where you’ll find marine accessories and equipment on display– and in action– in the 40,000-gallon freshwater pool. You’ll watch demos from exhibitors like Torqeedo, SEABOB and even innovators like Zapata FlyBoards. With products like the Hobie Mirage Lynx and the HydroFlyer the AquaZone should deliver a spirited ride. Plus, you’ll pick up a little swag.

Superyacht Village at Pier Sixty-Six South will be your next stop right across from the 17th Street Causeway bridge. Here, you’ll discover not only the most luxe superyachts at the show, but check out rarely-seen classic and iconic cars on display.
A complete list of superyachts at SYV is promised by mid-October 2022. At this writing, there’s confirmation that the Mangusta Oceano 50 will make her U.S. debut at the SYV at the boat show.
(Pro tip: Shoes that are not only comfortable for all the walking you'll be doing but also are easy to take on and off are a must. Most boat owners will ask you to remove them before stepping on board to explore the vessel)
Upgrade to a VIP ticket, and you can access the Windward VIP Club at the Bahia Mar Yachting Center's Captain’s Lounge, the best place to escape the heat. Pricey, but the perks include gourmet nibbles, premium open bar, private restrooms, and early access through the Bahia Mar South Entrance. Also: luxury pop-up activations, and complimentary shuttle/water taxi service to all seven show locations.
Heading up the New River, a festive atmosphere prevails. Between the Bahia Mar Yachting Center and Las Olas Marina, you’ll find an abundance of FLIBS exhibitors and food and beverage vendors. Boat shows are designed to be fun: expect great food and drink, and lots of eye candy.
